Hillsboro Water Treatment Plant (now known as the Hillsboro-Forest
Grove-Beaverton Joint Water Treatment Plant), Hillsboro, OR - Design

treatment plant. Also served as
design engineer, at later dates, for two more 10-MGD expansions of the plant,
including four pumping systems (raw water, finished water, backwash water,
recycle water).
Raw Water Pumping and Piping Study , Hillsboro-Forest Grove Joint Water
Commission, Hillsboro, OR - Project manager and design engineer to determine
the "on-line" capacity of several 30-MGD raw water intake pumps and 3,000-lineal
feet of 36-inch diameter transmission line.
Lagoon Expansion, Vernonia, OR - Project engineer for the design
and phased construction of an additional five-acre aerated sewage lagoon system,
chlorine contact basins, and blower building.
Industrial Waste Pretreatment Program , Newberg, OR - Project
engineer for the identification of industries discharging toxic or prohibited
waste and the development of an outline of a complete industrial waste
pretreatment program.
Water Supply Wells , Pipeline and Reservoir, Newberg, OR - Project
engineer for the design and construction of two 16-inch diameter water supply
wells complete with well houses, well pump assemblies, 600 feet of 10- and
14-inch ductile iron transmission lines, electrical controls and
appurtenances. Construction of the
wells included an 8-inch test well tested at 800-GPM. Both municipal wells have 16-inch
diameter casings and 75 horsepower vertical turbine pumps capable of pumping
1,400-GPM at 174-feet of head. Both
wells are located in the city well field near the Willamette River.
Longview Regional Water Treatment
Plant , Longview, WA - Design of
a "Silt Dam" for the water treatment plant river intake after the Mt. St. Helens
eruption. The Silt Dam was
constructed to prevent entrance of grit and debris.

construction management services for major improvements to Canyonville's water
system improvements. Scope included
a 0.75-MG steel reservoir, 9,000-lineal feet of 12-inch ductile iron water main
to feed a commercial/industrial area, improvements to the raw water intake
structure, and improvements to double the size of filter backwash ponds at the
filtration plant. Included EDA
funding of $1,230,000.
Lower Umpqua Basin Water Study , Douglas County, OR - Project
engineer and quality control for a water supply and distribution study for the
Lower South Umpqua Basin.
Capabilities of the existing water districts were included in the study
area and recommendations were made for handling future growth.
